Advanced laser hair removal at Sarah’s Aesthetics Cumbria:
When you compare laser hair removal clinics, it is easy to focus on price alone. But not every machine being described as “laser hair removal” offers the same technology, power or level of treatment customisation.
The device used can make a real difference to the speed, comfort and effectiveness of your treatment—which is exactly why I chose the Eneka Pro 5000W for my clinic.

This is not a low-powered beauty device or an IPL machine. The Eneka Pro is a professional diode-laser platform with up to 5,000 watts of optical output, developed to deliver fast, precise and highly customisable hair-reduction treatments across a wide range of skin tones, hair types and treatment areas.
If you are investing your time and money in laser hair removal, here is why the technology behind your treatment matters.
What makes the Eneka Pro 5000W different?
The Eneka Pro brings together four things I consider essential in a high-quality laser treatment: exceptional power, carefully selected wavelengths, adaptable treatment modes and advanced skin cooling.
Rather than relying on one standard setting for everybody, it allows each session to be adjusted according to the client’s skin phototype, hair colour, hair thickness, hair density, sensitivity and the area being treated.
That versatility matters because the hair on your legs is not necessarily the same as the hair on your face, bikini line or underarms—and two clients with similar-looking hair may still require very different treatment parameters.
1. Up to 5,000W of optical power
The Eneka Pro offers up to 5,000W of optical output, placing it at the very top end of professional diode-laser technology.
Power alone does not guarantee a good result; it must be delivered at the correct wavelength, pulse duration, fluence and treatment speed by a properly trained practitioner. However, a powerful and highly adjustable platform gives the practitioner greater scope to deliver the energy needed to target the follicle effectively while tailoring the treatment to the individual.
This becomes particularly valuable when working with areas of dense, coarse growth or with finer, lighter and residual hairs that can remain as a course progresses.
In simple terms: the machine has the capability, range and precision to progress with you, rather than relying on the same gentle, generic approach at every appointment.
2. True laser technology—not IPL
Laser and IPL are often placed in the same category, but they are not the same.
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. It uses a broad spectrum of scattered light and can be used for several different skin concerns. A diode laser, by contrast, uses concentrated wavelengths chosen specifically to target melanin within the hair follicle.
The Eneka Pro is a genuine professional diode laser. Its targeted energy is absorbed by pigment in the hair and converted into heat, damaging the active follicle to achieve long-term hair reduction while protecting the surrounding skin.
This is one of the most important questions to ask when comparing clinics: is the treatment being performed with a genuine laser, or is it IPL being marketed as laser hair removal?
3. Multiple wavelengths for a more personalised treatment
Hair depth, pigment and skin tone all influence how laser energy should be delivered. The Eneka Pro platform supports different wavelength options, allowing treatment to be matched much more precisely to the client and the hair being targeted.
Depending on the handpiece and configuration selected, Eneka Pro technology can use wavelengths including:
755nm, which is highly absorbed by melanin and can be particularly useful for finer or less heavily pigmented hair on lighter skin phototypes;
808/810nm, the established diode-laser wavelength used across a broad range of skin phototypes and hair types; and
1060nm, designed to reach deeper-set, coarser hair and offer options for more pigmented skin.
This flexibility is a major advantage over machines with a narrow range of capabilities. It means your treatment can be chosen around your skin and hair—not the other way around.
4. Suitable for Fitzpatrick skin phototypes I–VI
The Eneka Pro has treatment options designed for the full Fitzpatrick scale, from very fair skin through to deeply pigmented skin.
That does not mean every person receives the same setting, and it does not remove the need for a careful consultation and patch test. In fact, the opposite is true: the machine’s broad range of pulse durations, wavelengths and treatment modes allows the treatment to be adapted more precisely for safety and effectiveness.
Your skin tone, recent sun exposure, tanning, medication, medical history and hair characteristics must all be assessed before treatment. This is why responsible laser hair removal always begins with a proper consultation rather than a one-size-fits-all promise.
5. Two intelligent treatment modes
The Eneka Pro offers two ways of delivering energy, enabling me to select the most appropriate approach for the area and the client.
DHR—Dynamic Hair Removal uses higher fluences and can deliver up to four pulses per second. It is particularly useful when targeting a variety of hair thicknesses, including fine, light or residual hairs.
FDHR—Fast Dynamic Hair Removal can operate at up to 10Hz, gradually building heat within the follicle as the handpiece moves continuously across the skin. This helps achieve even coverage, makes larger areas quicker to treat and can be especially comfortable for clients with a lower tolerance to heat.
This ability to change both the method and the settings is one of the reasons the Eneka Pro is so versatile. A face, underarm, bikini line, back and full leg treatment should not feel like identical procedures—and with this system, they do not have to be.
6. Powerful treatment does not have to mean an uncomfortable treatment
One of the most impressive features of the Eneka Pro is its contact-cooling sapphire tip, maintained at approximately 0–5°C during treatment.
The chilled sapphire sits directly against the skin, helping protect the epidermis from excess heat and making the treatment considerably more comfortable. Clients may still feel warmth, a flick or a brief prickling sensation as the follicles absorb the energy—effective laser treatment is not necessarily completely sensation-free—but the integrated cooling helps keep that sensation manageable.
For me, comfort is not an afterthought. It is built into the technology.
7. Faster coverage without treating carelessly
The Eneka Pro offers multiple spot sizes, including a large 34 × 14mm option, alongside a repetition rate of up to 10 pulses per second in its fast dynamic mode.
Larger areas such as legs, backs and chests can therefore be covered efficiently and evenly, while smaller spot sizes allow greater precision on areas such as the face.
Speed should never mean rushing. The benefit of high-performance technology is that it can treat efficiently while still allowing the practitioner to work carefully, methodically and with settings selected for the individual client.
8. It can target more than just thick, dark hair
Dark, coarse hair usually responds especially well to laser because it contains more melanin for the light energy to target. The Eneka Pro’s high power, ultra-short pulse capability and wavelength options also give it the versatility to work on finer, lighter and residual pigmented hair that may be more challenging for lower-powered systems.
However, honest expectations are essential: no laser can effectively target hair with no melanin, such as white hair, and results can vary with blonde, red or very fine hair depending on the amount of pigment present. Hormonal conditions, medication, pregnancy and menopause can also stimulate new growth in the future.
I would always rather give you a realistic assessment than sell you a course that is unlikely to deliver the result you want.
What results can you expect?
Laser only affects follicles effectively while the hair is in its active growth phase. Because not every hair is active at the same time, laser hair removal requires a course of treatments spaced to follow the natural growth cycle.
With each suitable treatment, many clients notice that regrowth becomes:
Slower; softer and finer; lighter and less noticeable; increasingly patchy; and much easier to manage.
Laser hair removal can also be life-changing for people tired of constant shaving, waxing, razor rash, shaving bumps and ingrown hairs.
The correct term is long-term or permanent hair reduction, rather than a promise that every single hair will disappear forever. The number of sessions required and the degree of reduction achieved vary from person to person, although typically with this model, an initial course of 6 is recommended as opposed to 8 – 10+ with other less powerful machines. Occasional maintenance treatments may be needed, particularly where growth is influenced by hormones.
A brilliant machine still needs the right person operating it
The Eneka Pro 5000W gives me an exceptional platform, but a machine cannot assess your skin, understand your goals or make responsible decisions by itself.
Great results come from the combination of:
- Advanced, genuine laser technology.
- A thorough consultation and patch test.
- Correctly selected and progressively reviewed settings.
- Consistent appointment timing.
- Appropriate preparation and aftercare.
- Honest advice about what laser can realistically achieve for you.
Why choose laser hair removal at Sarah’s Aesthetics Cumbria?
I invested in the Eneka Pro 5000W because I wanted to offer my clients some of the strongest and most adaptable professional diode-laser technology available—not a cheaper system chosen because it was “good enough.”
When you book with me, you are choosing:
- A genuine professional diode laser with up to 5,000W optical output.
- Multiple wavelength and spot-size options.
- Treatments suitable for a wide spectrum of skin tones and pigmented hair types.
- Individual settings rather than a standardised treatment for everyone.
- Sapphire-tip cooling for comfort and skin protection.
- Fast, efficient treatment of both small and large areas.
- Straightforward, realistic advice at every stage of your course.
Laser hair removal is an investment. It is about choosing high-quality technology, responsible treatment and a practitioner who cares about your progress.
With the Eneka Pro 5000W, I can offer all three.
